I've never blogged in my life, nor have I ever read through anyone else's. But I'm starting to see the benefits of it, personally for the first time in my 5 year experience with raising kids on the spectrum, I feel more able to wrap my head around the life changes we've gone through. I'd like to share those with some of you.
Now I've been known as a real B****, or as a really nice person. I have a tendency to rant and rave, and if I don't get my way I've sat quietly tucked into a corner and then suddenly burst out into the room demanding to know what has taken so long, reminding those that are responsible for the services that yes I am here!! I will cry and be highly emotional or I will be negative and condescending. I'm bored and depressed without a place to share my thoughts and energy.
I am the privileged mom of two autistic boys, one 4 and one 5 years old. I've seen the inside of emergency room waiting areas more times than I can count, and know many therapists on a first name basis for a few years, and they all know me.
To start, here are a few links that I find very useful and have just gotten into being able to utilise them in our family's life.

a WONDERFUL gaming zone for kiddies, I got wind of this when my son started JK this past year, and it has helped solidify so many lessons and concepts, as well as giving him the freedom to learn on his own.
